Lissy Trullie + Friends play Santos!

Photobucket
Photographs by Danielle Lobosco.

Remember that song "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys? Of course you do, you were probably born in the 80's. You were also probably too young to go see Tom Cruise in Cocktail but I'd bet good money that you owned the single, if not the soundtrack.

I'm pretty sure Adam Green had both because he sang Kokomo at least 4 times Monday night at Santos after Lissy Trullie's beautiful set. He also sang his mambo rendition of "Happy Birthday " an equal number of times to people in the crowd who swore it was their birthdays.

Rumple Strips opened to a full crowd. They sounded so good that if they were Britney Spears I would have assumed they were miming to a record.

But back to Lissy, who played a brilliant set. Yes, kids, she really is hipper than hip. So hip in fact that there probably isn't even a word for it. She had the crowd in her hands though her carefree and calm demeanor suggested she wasn't even aware of the fact. Gotta love her.

Mark Ronson manned the decks during the after party while Kirsten Dunst shuffled between the upstairs lounge and the dance floor.

Santa Saves The Day at Quintron Show!

Photographs by Danielle Lobosco.

Quintron and Miss Pussycat shook up a packed house at Santos on Monday.

The evening's festivities were hosted by none other than Andrew WK, who led the crowd in emphatic chants and sing-alongs while the stage was set. Ian Svenonious, Golden Triangle and Hula Hoop Harlot, Melissa Anne, kept the crowd pumping until the swamp buggy badasses took the stage. Quintron orchestrated the evening by commanding the fog machine and light crew in between leaving his drum buddy perch to join the crowd. Miss Pussycat even somersaulted off the stage . . . backwards.

...Obama Wins!

Photographs by Danielle Lobosco.

Where were you on Election Night? . . . You should have been at Santos with Q-Tip, Diddy, Mark Ronson and Daniel Merriweather!

I was glued to the tube until I couldn’t bare it anymore. So, before I vomited on myself, I decided to get out of my apartment and head down to Q–Tip’s Album Release/Election Night Party at Santos. If I was going to vomit I wanted to be with other people who would be joining me. The setup was bananas. Too many projection screens blaring CNN than I could count. The anxiety in the room was palpable. Everyone paced around the dancefloor nervously, including Q-Tip. And then it happened . . . Red states were turning Blue and the vibe at Santos went from a nervous tension to absolute elation . . .we took Virginia and in mere moments it was projected that Obama would take the White House!

Paper Invades LA with Santos!

Santos came to LA and PARTIED!

Paper Magazine has long been a beacon of light in New York City nightlife and arts culture. Every year, the magazine heads to Los Angeles, to give Hollywood a taste of the Big Apple! This year, they invited Santos Party House to host their November 5th kick-off party, and transport the magical vibes of Manhattan into a converted grocery store on Sunset Boulevard!

Andrew W.K., Spencer Sweeney, Ron Castellano, and Santa's partner, Derek Ferguson, spun records, hyped the mic, jammed on keyboards, and gave motivational speeches throughout the night.
